Football (soccer) has the largest participation of any team sport in Australia, and the A-Leagues are its professional competitions. The Australian Professional Leagues (APL) runs A-League Men and A-League Women, and both are streamed on Paramount+, with free matches on Network 10.
Paramount+ and Network 10
Paramount's partnership with the APL was renewed in 2026 for three more years, through the 2028-29 season. Under it, Paramount+ remains the exclusive streaming home of every A-League Men and A-League Women match. Network 10, which is owned by Paramount, keeps free-to-air coverage of one men's match each week and 10 women's matches a season, including the Grand Final.
Paramount+
Paramount+ is a subscription streaming service with monthly and annual plans. Alongside sport, it includes films and TV series. It works on smart TVs, streaming devices, phones, tablets and web browsers.
10 and 10 Play
10's free-to-air coverage is also streamed live on the free 10 Play app. You need to be in Australia to watch.
The 2026-27 season
The APL released the 2026-27 A-League Men fixture list in 2026, with the season starting in October. Check the A-Leagues website or app for your club's fixtures, kick-off times and which matches are on 10.
Socceroos and Matildas
Australia's national teams are run by Football Australia, not the APL, and their matches are sold separately. World Cup qualifiers, friendlies and tournaments can be shown by different broadcasters. Major tournaments such as the FIFA World Cup are on the anti-siphoning list. Check Football Australia's website before each match.
International football
Rights to overseas leagues, such as the English Premier League and European competitions, are sold separately in Australia and change from time to time. Check the competition's official website for its current Australian broadcaster.
Radio and audio
Some A-League matches have radio or audio coverage through community and commercial stations. Check your club's website for local options.
Following your club
- Download the A-Leagues app for fixtures, scores and news.
- Check 10's weekly match to see if your club is on free TV.
- For every match, subscribe to Paramount+ during the season.
- Consider a club membership for tickets and member benefits.
Free or paid: which do you need?
If you follow your club casually, 10's weekly free match and the Grand Final may be enough, and highlights are widely available after each round. If you want to see your club every week, home and away, Paramount+ is the only way to watch every match live in Australia. Because Paramount+ is a monthly subscription, many fans subscribe from October to May and pause over winter.
Women's football
Interest in women's football surged after Australia and New Zealand co-hosted the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, when the Matildas reached the semi-finals. A-League Women matches are streamed on Paramount+, and 10 shows selected matches free, including the Grand Final. If you are new to the league, the free matches on 10 are an easy way to start following a team.
Avoiding spoilers
Streams often run behind live TV and radio. If you are watching on delay, mute score notifications from league and club apps, and avoid social media until the final whistle.
Watching at a venue
Many pubs and clubs show A-League matches. Venues need a commercial subscription to show paid sport to the public, so check with the venue before you go if you want to watch a particular match.
