About SportsFlash

An independent, plain-English guide to watching Australian sport.

SportsFlash helps Australians work out where to watch the sport they love. We explain which free-to-air channels and streaming services show each major competition, what you can watch for free and how the sporting year fits together, with links to the official league and broadcaster guides.

The story of this domain

From the 2000s, sportsflash.com.au was an Australian sports news site, with sections for cricket, football, rugby union, cycling, tennis, golf and motor sport. That site stopped operating and the domain later lapsed. SportsFlash was relaunched in 2026 as an independent guide to watching sport. Every page has been written from scratch from current official sources. We are not connected with any previous operator of the domain.

No betting content

SportsFlash does not publish betting tips, odds, bookmaker reviews or gambling promotions, and we do not accept gambling advertising. Old pages on this domain that promoted gambling have been removed and are not redirected.

How we research

We use official sources: league and club websites, broadcaster announcements and support pages, government information on the anti-siphoning scheme, and reputable media reporting of rights deals. Each guide lists its sources and the date it was last checked.

We do not invent quotes, statistics or prices. Subscription prices change often, so we link to the services rather than quoting figures.

What we are not

We are not a broadcaster or streaming service, and we do not stream sport. We are not affiliated with any league, club, broadcaster or service named on the site.

How we are funded

Nobody can pay to change our guides. If a page carries ads, affiliate links or a paid listing, it is clearly labelled, and our editorial policy explains how we make money.
